A darksinned Black woman with a golden nose ring, pink braids, pink lipstick and pink top looks into the camera longingly, in front of a brick wall.

A Service in Committing to Love Manifestations of Love and Solidarity #2

Learning to forgive

I’m holding
The harm
The harm of holding pain
The fire fuelled by the projected notion of inadequacy

The blank face - Breath

I eat
A self reflecting ceremony to be kind to myself
A time to honour myself and others
A time to minimise some of the pain
A time to release the joy and play through a convoluted exploration of love

The movement of wellness - Breath

Learn beyond yourself
Self is not the mark
Love
I have come to learn it's not how I want it
It’s how I receive it

I forgot to listen

Seeking love with preconceived ideas
Actively moulding love to suit my ideologies.

I forgot to listen
Listen to the collaboration

The fight is for the greater implications
So in love, I work to listen

To be heard to hear you
